Get help with all your mental health care needs

Seeing a Psychologist does not have to be scary. It does not mean that you are ‘sick’, and there is no need to be ashamed or apprehensive. Seeking emotional support is a strong thing for you to do. I aim to give you a safe space to feel your emotions and talk to a trained person to walk you through your experience without judgement. One client said, “seeing a Psychologist is one place I can cry or show anger without feeling bad about it. No need to apologise for my emotions”. A Therapist is there to talk about what is worrying you, what is holding you back from achieving the life you would like, and help you make plans to move forward.

We do not necessarily have to go back over everything that has happened in your life unless it is impacting your current mental health. We will look at what is good in your life now and how to gain the skills and perspectives to improve it.

It begins with seeing your doctor for a referral to Vikki Walters at Achieve Counselling Service. Once I get the referral, we can make an appointment for you to either come to my practice so we can work face-to-face or, if it is easier for you, we can work together via telehealth (phone or Zoom sessions).  

All your face-to-face appointments will take place in my purpose-designed office in a fully private room with an outdoor area for those who prefer not to be indoors. Individualised care. I also work out of the Childers Neighbourhood Centre one day a fortnight, if that is more convenient for you.

My office is conveniently located in the township of Cordalba – 10 km from Childers and 40km from Bundaberg. Not able to make it into the office? No worries – I have got you covered with telehealth.
